     I am a licensed clinical psychologist with experience in an array of clinical settings. I have provided therapy and assessments in outpatient clinics, community mental health settings, and the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System. Additionally, I completed an APA accredited year-long postdoctoral fellowship at VA Puget Sound – American Lake, with a focus on evidence-based treatments for PTSD and other trauma-related disorders. My primary focus has been working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, traumatic life events, PTSD, substance use, life transitions, and family of origin difficulties.
     My theoretical orientation melds Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and attachment-based/psychodynamic therapy, which is utilized to create an individualized treatment plan for each client. I believe everyone brings their own natural gifts and unique life experiences, which blend together to shape their self-image, their interactions with others, and their place in the world. I work with clients to improve their emotional awareness and change relationship patterns that keep them stuck.
I believe therapy works best when done collaboratively, while developing a warm and compassionate connection with clients. I provide space to consider how all aspects of one’s identity impact their life, shaping experiences of both joy and discomfort. I will help you develop the tools to take real, meaningful steps to live with greater peace and purpose, while never forgetting to laugh along the way!
     In addition to clinical work, I have spent years contributing to psychological research, publishing articles in scientific journals on substance use, PTSD, and suicide prevention. This academic foundation ensures that my work with clients is supported by evidence-based strategies. When I am not working, I enjoy watching and playing sports, and spending time with my family, friends, and animals in the beautiful state of Colorado.
