I am a licensed clinical social worker with a background in community mental health and animal-assisted therapy. i work with adolescents and adults, offering psychotherapy that is personalized to your unique needs -- whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ptsd, or other challenges.
working with young people is a particular passion of mine. adolescence is a time of tremendous growth and transition, often accompanied by uncertainty and unique challenges. therapy can provide a powerfully supportive space to explore identities, navigate relationships, and develop the resilience to face life's complexities.
my approach draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). as a certified yoga teacher, i value the mind-body connection and like to integrate somatic awareness into my therapy practice. relationships and connections are central and fundamental to healing, so i frequently incorporate an attachment-based lens as well.
my style is non-judgmental, compassionate, and grounded in authenticity in all its forms. i understand that taking the first step to seek therapy is a brave investment in yourself, and i strive to create a space of safety and trust where you feel truly seen and heard. i also believe in the healing power of humor -- sometimes the things that feel scary and overwhelming become easier to face when we can access lightness and levity along the way.
*****mental health struggles can feel isolating, but you don't have to face them alone.*****
outside of my work, i enjoy traveling, running, camping, skiing, and spending time with my two newfoundland dogs, kaia and bug. i look forward to walking alongside you in this journey!
